There’s something wildly energizing about stepping into a place designed to dazzle you. That’s exactly what I experienced at Epic Universe this weekend. Universal Orlando’s newest theme park creation feels like stepping into a curated world of fantasy, thrills, and jaw-dropping design.
For someone like me who lives for intentional details, mood lighting, and immersive environments, it was like walking into a living vision board.
✨ First Impressions: A Curator’s Dream
From the moment I entered the park, it was clear this wasn’t just another thrill ride destination. Epic Universe is designed and every element was thoughtfully imagined.
The entry plaza alone? Think futuristic meets fantasy. Arched skylights, otherworldly soundscapes, and art deco inspired signage.
I found myself imagining these themes translating into interiors. Where luxury meets whimsy; the use of bold lines softened by magical lighting. My mind was racing with ideas for statement walls and themed guest rooms!

🎢 My Favorite Worlds
The park is split into different “worlds,” each one immersive and distinct. Here are a few highlights of each:
1. Celestial Park
This central hub is all about cosmic vibes. Sculptures and fountains mirror galaxies, and every angle is a photo op. I loved the use of metallic finishes, cool blues, and LED lighting. It gives a spa-meets-space-lounge feel.

2. Super Nintendo World
Color blocking! Retro 8-bit-inspired patterns! Oversized sculptural mushrooms! This land was vibrant, playful, and wonderfully overstimulating in the best way. It reminded me that design doesn’t always have to be neutral. Joyful color has a place in grown up spaces, too.

3. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic
Old world glam meets mystery and drama. Arched corridors, vintage fixtures, deep emerald hues. It’s what moody design dreams are made of.

🧁 Food, Feels & Florals
As always, I was hunting for more than just rollercoasters. Epic Universe has curated cafes and eateries that serve up not only flavor but atmosphere. Fan favorites were the stuffed macaroni and cheese served in a hollowed out cone of bread. I did not try it but I saw many people eating a delicious giant dole whip ice cream in a waffle cone.

Even the landscaping deserves a mention. Large planters filled with a combination of greenery added to the charm. Structured hedges, fountains, flowers in bloom and landscape lighting gave me inspiration for how I might incorporate this in a home.

🎁 A Takeaway for My Kurators
Epic Universe reminded me why I do what I do. Whether creating a serene bedroom retreat, a bold statement kitchen, or a magical tablescape design is about telling a story. And at Epic Universe every corner told one.
So next time you’re stuck staring at blank walls or uninspired spaces let your imagination inspire you. Dare to be bold. Let your space transport you the same way this park did for me.
Until next time,
🌸 Kim
